Powerball draw time in Singapore (SGT)

This is the part most Powerball sites don’t tell S’poreans, so you end up checking results at the wrong time lor. The draw happens at night in America, which means late morning the next day in Singapore:

US draw (ET) Singapore time, until 1 Nov Singapore time, from 3 Nov
Monday 10.59pm Tuesday 10.59am Tuesday 11.59am
Wednesday 10.59pm Thursday 10.59am Thursday 11.59am
Saturday 10.59pm Sunday 10.59am Sunday 11.59am

Why the change? The US is on daylight saving time (EDT) until Sunday 1 November 2026. The Saturday 31 October US draw is the last one at 10.59am SGT (Sunday 1 November here). From the Monday 2 November US draw, which is Tuesday 3 November at 11.59am SGT, everything is one hour later. Singapore doesn’t change its clocks, so only the US side moves.

Worked example: you want in on Saturday’s US draw. In Singapore that’s Sunday at 10.59am (11.59am from November). Each site sets its own cut-off before the draw, so buy by Saturday night SGT to be safe. Easy to remember: buy the night before, check results over Sunday brunch lah. Every draw time in Asia is on our lottery draw times in Asia page.

Powerball odds and prizes

There are 9 ways to win, from the jackpot down to US$4 for matching only the Powerball. The full table is at the bottom of this page. The headline numbers:

  • Jackpot (5 + Powerball): 1 in 292,201,338.
  • 5 white balls: US$1,000,000, odds 1 in 11,688,054.
  • 4 + Powerball: US$50,000.
  • Any prize at all: about 1 in 24.87.

Power Play costs US$1 extra per play and multiplies every non-jackpot prize by 2X to 5X, or up to 10X when the advertised jackpot is US$150 million or less. The US$1 million prize is capped at 2X, so it becomes US$2 million.

Worth the extra US$1 or not? Power Play never touches the jackpot, so if you only dream of the big one, it doesn’t help. If you want the smaller prizes to pay more when they come, then can consider leh.

Worked example: you buy 5 plays with Power Play: 5 × (US$2 + US$1) = US$15.

  • One line matches 4 numbers + the Powerball and the multiplier drawn is 3X: US$50,000 × 3 = US$150,000.
  • One line matches 3 numbers + the Powerball with a 2X multiplier: US$100 × 2 = US$200.
  • No match on any line (the usual result): you lose US$15.

Messenger and betting sites set their own prices, so check the cost per line at checkout. The tier odds in the table are our own maths from the 5/69 + 1/26 format.

The biggest Powerball jackpots

Powerball jackpots climb because they roll over with no cap. Some recent monsters:

Jackpot Date (US)
US$2.04 billion (cash US$997.6M), one ticket in Altadena, California: the record 7 Nov 2022
US$1.817 billion 24 Dec 2025
US$1.787 billion 6 Sep 2025

After a big win, the jackpot restarts at around US$20 million. Powerball is also going global: tickets went on sale in the UK from 21 July 2026.

Durian tip: Jackpot fever is real lah. When the pot crosses US$1 billion, everybody suddenly wants in. Decide your budget before you see the headline number, not after. The odds are still 1 in 292,201,338 whether the jackpot is US$20 million or US$2 billion.

How to play Powerball from Singapore

Singapore Pools doesn’t sell Powerball. Its lotteries are TOTO, 4D and Singapore Sweep. So Singaporeans who want Powerball use one of two kinds of overseas site:

theLotter Lottoland
Model Ticket messenger Lottery betting
What you get An official ticket bought on your behalf and scanned to your account A bet on the official Powerball result; Lottoland pays the prizes (hedged/insured)
Licence Lotto Direct Ltd, Malta (per its affiliate site) EU Lotto Ltd, Gibraltar; UK Gambling Commission
Other draws Many international lotteries US draws like Mega Millions, plus Hong Kong Mark Six
Singapore accepted? Not stated publicly: check at sign-up Not named in its global terms: check at sign-up

theLotter is the closer thing to holding a real ticket: it buys the official ticket for you and scans it to your account. Lottoland works like a bookmaker on the lottery result: you bet on the official numbers and Lottoland pays out. It also covers Hong Kong’s Mark Six, which is handy for players who like Asian draws.

Neither site lists Singapore on its public terms, so confirm Singapore is accepted when you sign up, and only use the official domains. Want the other US giant too? Mega Millions costs US$5 a play and draws on Wednesday and Saturday at 11am SGT (12pm from 4 Nov); see our Mega Millions page.

Powerball vs TOTO

Powerball Singapore TOTO
Format 5/69 + 1/26 6/49 + Additional Number
Top prize odds 1 in 292,201,338 1 in 13,983,816

TOTO is about 21 times easier to win at the top, but Powerball’s jackpot can be more than a thousand times bigger. Many S’poreans play both: TOTO for the realistic dream, Powerball for the crazy one. Huat ah! Our TOTO guide covers Groups and System entries, and our Singapore 4D guide covers Big and Small. Want the international version in English? See the main Powerball page.

How people pick Powerball numbers

Birthdays, anniversaries, lucky 8s, or just Quick Pick: all the same to the machine. Every combination has exactly the same 1 in 292,201,338 chance, and past draws don’t affect the next one. The only thing you can influence is sharing: lots of people play birthdays, so numbers above 31 are probably picked less often, which might matter if you ever hit. Our RTP and RNG guide explains how randomness works in games.

Play Powerball for fun, never with money you need, and if it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page has help.

21+ only. Play responsibly: set a budget and stop when it stops being fun. Need help? NCPG 1800-6-668-668 or our responsible gambling page.
