Fishing Games in Singapore: How Fish Shooting Works, Cannon Bets & the Best Lobbies (2026)

Fishing games explained for Singapore: cannon levels, fish multipliers, what auto-fire costs in S$, bonuses that count fishing and the biggest SG lobbies.

Long story short: A fishing game is an arcade shooter where every bullet is a bet: your cannon level sets the stake per shot, and each fish you catch pays its multiplier. The long-run return is set by the game's RTP, so the real cost of a session is how many shots you fire and at what level. In Singapore, Maxim88's 288% and BK8's 100% welcome both count fishing, and AW8 Pro has the biggest lobby we've seen with 175 fishing games.

Key takeaways

  • ✓Every shot is a bet: cannon level × shots fired = what you put through the game.
  • ✓Small fish pay small multipliers and big fish and bosses pay big ones, but each catch is decided by a hit chance, not by aim tricks.
  • ✓Auto-fire is the fastest way to burn a budget: at S$0.20 a shot, 300 shots is S$60 of bets in a few minutes.
  • ✓Bonuses that count fishing in SG: Maxim88 288% (28x deposit + bonus), BK8 100% (12x deposit + bonus), AW8 Pro 140% (15x) and UWIN33's Super Boost 333%.
  • ✓AW8 Pro Singapore lists 175 fishing games, including JILI; BK8 and me88 pay a no-turnover rebate on fishing bets.

What is a fishing game?

A fishing game (fish shooting, or tembak ikan as our Malaysian neighbours call it) is an arcade shooter built like the fish-hunting machines in Asian game centres. You sit at a table with up to four seats, schools of fish swim across the screen, and you fire bullets from a cannon at the bottom. Catch a fish and it pays out. Simple enough to learn in one round, which is why every casino we review for Singapore gives fishing its own place in the lobby.

Here’s the part many first-timers miss: every bullet is a bet. It looks like a game, the music is cheerful, the fish explode into coins, but each tap of the screen takes your cannon value out of your balance, whether the bullet hits or not. If you think of it as a slot that fires instead of spins, you’ll read the game properly from the start. The differences: you pick the target, other players fire at the same fish (their shots don’t change your odds), and there’s no fixed spin speed, so how fast you fire decides how fast your money moves.

Fishing game Slot
What one bet is One bullet at your cannon level One spin at your stake
Pace As fast as you fire (or auto-fire) One spin every few seconds, or turbo
Who decides the result A hit chance on every shot, set by the game’s RNG The RNG on every spin
Long-run return The game’s RTP The game’s RTP
Players Shared table, up to four seats Just you

The odds work the same way as a slot in the end: the game’s random number generator and its RTP decide the long-run return. Our RTP and RNG guide explains both in plain words.

Cannon level, rooms and bet sizes

Your cannon level is your bet per shot. Turn it up and each bullet costs more, and each catch pays more, because the fish’s multiplier is applied to that bet. Turn it down and everything shrinks together. The look of the cannon usually changes as you go up, which is fun to watch but has nothing to do with your odds.

Most fishing titles split the action into rooms (or tables) with their own bet range. A beginner room has a low minimum and a low maximum cannon. Higher rooms start at a bigger minimum and let the cannon go much higher. The range for each room shows on the room card before you sit down, and it differs from title to title, so check it every time you try a new game.

Start from your budget, not the room, and count in shots, not dollars: S$50 at S$0.10 a shot is 500 shots, the same S$50 at S$1 is only 50. And pumping the cannon up after a dry patch doesn’t change your luck; it just raises the cost of the next dry patch.

Session budget Cannon per shot Shots if nothing is caught
S$30 S$0.10 300
S$60 S$0.20 300
S$100 S$0.50 200
S$300 S$1.00 300

The last column is the worst case: the number of shots before your balance is gone if you catch nothing at all. In practice your catches top you up along the way, so a session lasts longer than that. But it’s a useful floor. If 300 shots at your chosen cannon level is more than you’re happy to lose, go one room down lah.

Fish multipliers and special weapons

Every fish carries a multiplier, and a catch pays that multiplier times your cannon level. The game’s fish table (usually behind an “i” or paytable button) lists them all. Small fish swim in big schools and pay a little; sharks, whales and bosses (dragons, golden toads, giant crabs, depending on the game) take more hits on average and pay far more, sometimes with a jackpot or bonus wheel on top.

Then there are the special weapons: a bomb that clears part of the screen, a laser or drill that cuts through a line of fish, or chain lightning that jumps from fish to fish, depending on the title. These are where the big screen-clearing wins come from, and the game’s RTP already counts them.

Fish type How often you catch it What it pays
Small fish Often A low multiple of your shot
Medium fish Sometimes A higher multiple
Big fish Rarely A much higher multiple
Boss / jackpot fish Very rarely The top multipliers, sometimes a jackpot or wheel
Special weapon fish Rarely A bomb, laser, drill or lightning that can catch several fish

The exact multipliers differ by title, so we don’t print a “standard” list. Open the fish table in the game you’re playing; it takes ten seconds.

Durian tip: big fish are not “due” because you’ve hit them ten times. Each shot is a fresh roll of the dice, so the boss you’ve been chasing for two minutes is no closer to falling than when it swam in. If it isn’t falling and your shot count is running out, let it swim away lor.

How the payout really works

Fishing looks like skill, and that’s the clever part of the design. You aim, you choose, you time your shots. But underneath, every bullet that touches a fish triggers a hit chance: a random draw that decides whether that fish is caught. Bigger fish have a smaller chance per hit, which is why they pay more. The draw is run by the game’s random number generator, the same kind of system that runs a slot.

Over millions of shots, all those catches add up to the game’s RTP (return to player): the share of everything fired that comes back as winnings over the long run. If a fishing game had a 96% RTP, then for every S$100 of shots, about S$96 would come back on average across all players and all sessions. The other S$4 is the house edge.

So the cost of fishing is shots × cannon level × house edge, and aiming at a different fish doesn’t change that number. Short sessions still swing wildly: one boss catch can pay for an hour of shots, and a dry spell can eat your whole budget.

RTP figures for specific fishing titles? Many providers don’t show them in the lobby, and we couldn’t confirm official numbers for the popular titles, so we won’t guess. Check the game’s info screen. If it isn’t listed there, assume the return is in the same range as a normal slot, not higher.

No tricks, no patterns. “Aim at the edge of the screen”, “shoot the boss right after it enters”, “play at night when the table is empty”: none of it changes the hit chance. The game doesn’t know what time it is in Singapore, and it doesn’t remember your last ten shots.

Worked example: what 300 shots really cost

Let’s put real numbers on a normal session. You sit in a beginner room with S$60 and set the cannon to S$0.20 a shot. You plan to fire 300 shots.

  • Money through the game: 300 × S$0.20 = S$60. That’s your session’s total betting, and if you caught nothing at all, it’s exactly how much you’d lose.
  • Average cost over the long run: we’ll use a 96% RTP purely as an example (check your game’s real figure). The house edge is then 4%, so S$60 × 4% = S$2.40.
  • What actually happens tonight: almost certainly not S$2.40. A boss or bomb can put you well ahead, and a dry spell can take most of the S$60. The S$2.40 is the average across thousands of sessions like yours.

Now see what happens when only the cannon changes:

Cannon per shot Total bets for 300 shots Average cost at a 96% RTP (example)
S$0.10 S$30 S$1.20
S$0.20 S$60 S$2.40
S$0.50 S$150 S$6.00
S$1.00 S$300 S$12.00
S$2.00 S$600 S$24.00

Same 300 shots, same fish, same skill, and the cost goes up twenty times from the top row to the bottom. That’s the whole secret of fishing games in one table: your cannon level and your shot count decide the price of the evening, not your aim.

Durian tip: before you start, decide your shot count as well as your budget. “S$60, 300 shots at S$0.20, then I stop” is a plan. “S$60, see how it goes” usually ends with the cannon at S$1 and a reload.

Auto-fire and lock-target: the budget burners

Two buttons change everything about your spend, and every fishing game has at least one of them.

Auto-fire keeps shooting at your cannon level until you stop it. Your finger can rest, but the bets keep going. Say a title fires about two shots a second on auto (the real pace varies by game). That’s:

  • 300 shots in about two and a half minutes,
  • 7,200 shots in an hour,
  • S$1,440 of bets in an hour at S$0.20 a shot, or S$7,200 at S$1.

At our example 4% edge, that hour costs about S$57.60 on average at S$0.20 and S$288 at S$1. The game didn’t change; the pace did. Holding auto-fire for an hour is like spinning a slot on turbo without looking at the screen, quite jialat if you’re not watching the balance.

Lock-target (or auto-aim) locks your cannon onto one fish, usually a big one, and keeps firing at it until it’s caught or swims off screen. This one hor, it feels efficient, but it’s the classic way to pour S$30 into a boss that never falls. Bosses pay big because they take a lot of hits on average, and lock-target fires every one of those hits for you, at full speed.

Use them, but with limits: set a shot cap or balance stop if the game has one, drop the cannon before you switch on auto-fire, check your balance every minute or two, and never lock onto a boss at a big cannon level just because you’ve already spent a lot on it. That money is gone either way.

Fishing and bonuses: what counts in Singapore

Where fishing counts, it clears turnover just like a slot: every shot adds its full value to the meter. But not every welcome bonus counts it. Here’s how the offers we’ve reviewed for Singapore treat fishing:

Casino Offer Does fishing count? Turnover
Maxim88 288% up to S$288 (from S$100) Yes, it’s a slots and fishing bonus 28x deposit + bonus, 30 days
BK8 Welcome Bonus, 100% up to S$300 (from S$50) Yes, the slots version includes fishing 12x deposit + bonus, 30 days
AW8 Pro 140% first deposit, tiered (S$20 gets S$28) Yes, slots and fishing (not Mega888 or 918Kiss) 15x
AW8 (original site) 150% up to S$1,500 on slots No, fishing is excluded 35x deposit + bonus
UWIN33 Super Boost 333%, bonus capped at S$168 Yes, slots plus arcade and fishing (not Mega888) 35x deposit + bonus
me88 288% up to S$2,880 No, slots only 35x deposit + bonus
GOD55 255% up to S$2,550 No, slots only 35x deposit + bonus
DK88 100% up to S$1,288 Only the slots on its “Games for Wagering” list 25x the bonus

What that turnover means in shots

Every bullet is a bet, so any turnover target translates straight into shots:

  • BK8, S$100 deposit: S$100 + S$100 bonus = S$200 × 12 = S$2,400 of turnover. At S$0.20 a shot that’s 12,000 shots; at S$0.50 it’s 4,800.
  • Maxim88, S$100 deposit: S$100 + S$288 bonus = S$388 × 28 = S$10,864 of turnover. At S$0.20 a shot that’s 54,320 shots; at S$1 it’s 10,864.

Both are doable over 30 days for a regular player, but you can see why BK8’s 12x is the lighter road. And at our example 4% edge, BK8’s S$2,400 costs about S$96 on average against a S$100 bonus, while Maxim88’s S$10,864 costs about S$435 against S$288. Bigger percentage, longer grind. Our wagering guide shows the full method, and our new bonus terms guide covers the other clauses (wallet locks, exclusions, expiry) that trip people up.

Rebates on fishing: the no-strings value

Fish a lot? A rebate comes back on every shot with no turnover:

  • BK8 pays 0.7% on slots and fishing every hour (up to 1% for Diamond VIPs), no turnover, no cap.
  • me88 pays an instant rebate of 0.2% to 1.2% by game and tier on sports, live casino, slots and fishing, no turnover, no cap.

Take the auto-fire hour from earlier: S$1,440 of shots at S$0.20. A 0.7% rebate at BK8 puts S$10.08 back, trimming the example average cost from S$57.60 to S$47.52.

Tournaments are a bonus on top: when we reviewed them, Maxim88 and me88 were running Spadegaming’s Fishing Frenzy, and BK8 had Spadegaming tournaments across slots and fishing from S$1.30 bets.

Fishing lobbies at our Singapore casinos

Lobby sizes below are exactly as our reviews recorded them. Only AW8 published a full count (175 is a lot sia); for the others we list the fishing studios we found.

UWIN33 Spadegaming fishing Spadegaming Fishing God

All seven are on our fishing casinos shortlist, where you can sort them side by side.

Choosing a title

JILI is the fishing studio most Southeast Asian players know. Its catalogue includes Jackpot Fishing, Mega Fishing, Royal Fishing, Dinosaur Tycoon, Boom Legend, Happy Fishing, Dragon Fortune and All-star Fishing. In Singapore, though, JILI is rarer than you might expect: of the sites we review, AW8 Pro carries it in the fishing lobby and DK88 lists it among its studios, while BK8, GOD55, me88, Maxim88 and UWIN33 don’t carry JILI on their SG sites. If a JILI title is the one you want, check the lobby before you deposit leh. Our JILI provider page covers the studio, and if you like its style on the slot side too, Super Ace is its best-known slot.

The rest of the SG lobbies lean on Spadegaming (Fishing God is its headline game), Fa Chai, CQ9, V-Power and Dragoon Soft. Whatever the studio, check the room ranges, read the fish table, look for the RTP on the info screen (a title that shows it gets a point from us), and if you’re on a bonus, make sure that studio counts. Maxim88, me88 and UWIN33 also put a demo or free-trial button on many tiles; if your fishing title has one, learn the controls there for free.

Your first fishing session, step by step

  1. Pick a casino that carries the studio you want, using the lobby table above or our fishing shortlist.
  2. Sign up with your +65 number and the name on your bank account, and verify your ID early.
  3. Deposit by PayNow at AW8, BK8, GOD55, Maxim88, me88 or UWIN33 (see our PayNow casinos), or by GrabPay, bank transfer or crypto at DK88.
  4. Decide: bonus or no bonus. If you want one, pick an offer that counts fishing. At BK8 and Maxim88 you choose the promo code while transferring money into the game wallet.
  5. Move your balance into the fishing provider’s wallet if the casino uses separate wallets. With a bonus running, BK8 and Maxim88 won’t let you top up that wallet again until the turnover is done.
  6. Choose a room where your budget covers at least 300 shots at the minimum cannon.
  7. Open the fish table and the info screen before your first shot.
  8. Fire by hand for the first few minutes. If you switch on auto-fire, set a shot cap first.
  9. Stop at your shot count or your budget, whichever comes first, and withdraw any winnings.

Small habits, but they’re the difference between a fun hour and a “where did my S$200 go” moment. No need to be kiasu about the boss fish; there’s always another one swimming past.

FAQ

How do fishing games work?

You sit at a shared table, fish swim across the screen and you fire bullets at them. Every bullet costs your cannon level, and when a hit lands the catch pays that fish's multiplier times your bet. Whether a hit becomes a catch is decided by the game's random number generator.

Can I aim better to win more at fishing games?

Aiming decides which fish you shoot at, not the odds of the catch. Each hit has a set chance of landing the fish, and the game's RTP decides the long-run return. Treat any 'aim trick' or 'best time to play' tip as a myth.

What is the RTP of fishing games?

It depends on the title and the provider, and many fishing games don't show it in the lobby. Open the game's info or help screen before you play. If the RTP isn't listed, assume it's in the same range as a normal slot, not higher.

Which Singapore casino has the most fishing games?

Among the casinos we review for Singapore, AW8 Pro lists 175 fishing games from Fa Chai, BG, KA, JILI, JDB and CQ9. GOD55 has eight fishing studios, Maxim88 and me88 have seven each, and BK8 has six.

Can I use a welcome bonus on fishing games?

At some casinos. Maxim88's 288% up to S$288 counts slots and fishing (28x deposit + bonus), BK8's 100% up to S$300 counts slots including fishing (12x deposit + bonus), AW8 Pro's 140% counts slots and fishing (15x) and UWIN33's Super Boost 333% counts fishing too. me88's 288%, GOD55's 255% and AW8's original 150% don't count fishing.

Where can I play JILI fishing games in Singapore?

AW8 Pro's fishing lobby includes JILI, and DK88 lists JILI among its 64 slot studios with a separate fishing category. Most of the other SG sites we review (BK8, GOD55, me88, Maxim88, UWIN33) don't carry JILI, so check the lobby first if Jackpot Fishing or Royal Fishing is your game.

Is auto-fire a good idea?

Only with a hard limit. Auto-fire keeps shooting at your cannon level until you stop it, so your bets pile up much faster than you'd notice. Set a shot count or a balance stop if the game offers one, and keep the cannon low.

Can I deposit with PayNow for fishing games?

Yes, at AW8, BK8, GOD55, Maxim88, me88 and UWIN33. DK88 doesn't list PayNow but takes GrabPay, bank transfer and crypto.
