What a casino rebate is, and why it has no turnover
A rebate (some sites call it cashback or instant cash rebate) is a small percentage of every real-money bet you place, returned to your wallet as cash. Win or lose doesn’t matter. Spin S$1 on a slot and a 0.7% rebate puts S$0.007 aside; spin it a thousand times and that’s S$7 waiting for you.
The formula is the whole thing:
Rebate = rebate rate × valid turnover
Turnover means the total of your bets, not your deposit, not your losses. Every spin, every baccarat hand and every football single counts at its full stake, as long as it’s a game the rebate covers and you weren’t playing on bonus money.
Here’s the part that makes rebates different from every other promo on the site: there’s nothing to clear. A welcome bonus hands you money you still have to wager 24x or 47x before you can touch it. A rebate is paid on wagering you’ve already done, so it lands as withdrawable cash. BK8, me88, Maxim88, GOD55, GemBet and DK88 all pay theirs with no turnover in Singapore. The only exception in our reviews is AW8, whose rebates carry 1x.
| Welcome bonus | Rebate | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | Extra balance, locked until the turnover is done | Cash, yours straight away |
| Turnover | 24x to 58x the bonus on the SG welcomes we’ve reviewed | None (AW8: 1x) |
| When it pays | Once, at sign-up | Every hour, day or week, for as long as you play |
| Game rules | Slots-only lists, excluded studios, wallet locks | Mostly any slot, live table, fishing or sports bet |
| Size | Big headline (288% up to S$2,880) | Small percentage (0.2% to 1.5%) |
| Who it suits | Slot players with time to grind | Live-table regulars, high-turnover players, anyone who wants to withdraw freely |
If the word “turnover” is still fuzzy, our wagering guide explains it with S$ examples, and the bonus terms guide covers the clauses that make welcome offers heavier than they look.
The four rebate clocks in Singapore
Every SG casino we review calculates its rebate the same way, but they pay it on different clocks. The clock decides how often you need to log in and press “claim”, and whether you can forget a payout.
| Casino | Type | When it’s calculated | How you get it | Minimum claim |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GOD55 | Real-time instant rebate | On every bet | Credited automatically, nothing to claim | — |
| BK8 | Hourly instant rebate | Every hour | Claim any time from your profile | S$1 per category |
| me88 | Hourly instant rebate | Builds up every hour | Profile → Instant Rebate | S$1 |
| Maxim88 | Hourly instant cash rebate | Every hour | Claim from the promo page | S$1 |
| AW8 | Hourly instant rebate (1x turnover) | Every hour | Claim on the site | Not published |
| GemBet | Instant + daily (GemRebates) | Instant part any time; daily part at 5 PM SGT | Rewards page | Not published |
| DK88 | Daily rebate | After midnight | Claim within 12 hours | Not published |
Two things to notice. First, the “instant” ones at BK8, me88 and Maxim88 are really hourly: the casino tallies your bets each hour and the claimable amount updates. Second, DK88’s is the only one with a hard expiry: 12 hours after midnight, so if you play at night and don’t log in by lunch the next day, that day’s rebate is gone. Set a reminder lah.
UWIN33 is the odd one out: no published rebate and no VIP ladder, just a 5% weekly cashback on net losses (from S$200, up to S$1,688, at 10x). That’s a loss-based promo, not a turnover rebate, so it doesn’t belong in this table.
The formula with real S$ numbers
Let’s run two typical Singapore sessions through the formula. Rates are exactly as printed in our reviews.
A slots night
You spin S$0.50 a spin for 1,000 spins. Turnover = 1,000 × S$0.50 = S$500.
| Casino and tier | Slot rebate rate | Rebate on S$500 | Rebate on 5 nights (S$2,500) |
|---|---|---|---|
| BK8, regular member | 0.7% | S$3.50 | S$17.50 |
| Maxim88, slots (0.5% to 1.0%) | 0.5% to 1.0% | S$2.50 to S$5.00 | S$12.50 to S$25.00 |
| me88, Jade | 0.4% | S$2.00 | S$10.00 |
| GemBet, Start to Pearl 3 | 0.35% | S$1.75 | S$8.75 |
| GOD55, Normal | 0.3% | S$1.50 | S$7.50 |
| AW8 (original site), Regular | 0.5% | S$2.50 (1x turnover) | S$12.50 |
| DK88, Dasher | 0.2% (max S$18 a day) | S$1.00 | S$5.00 |
A baccarat night
You play 200 hands at S$50. Turnover = 200 × S$50 = S$10,000. Live tables turn over far more money than slots for the same time at the table, which is exactly why rebates matter more to baccarat players.
| Casino and tier | Live casino rebate rate | Rebate on S$10,000 |
|---|---|---|
| me88, Royal (by invitation) | 1.20% | S$120 |
| Maxim88, live baccarat and roulette | 0.3% to 0.8% | S$30 to S$80 |
| me88, Jade | 0.30% | S$30 |
| BK8, regular member (live baccarat) | 0.3% | S$30 |
| GOD55, Normal | 0.2% | S$20 |
| AW8 (original site), Regular | 0.2% | S$20 (1x turnover) |
| GemBet, Start to Pearl 3 | 0.10% | S$10 |
Small numbers per night, but they repeat. A baccarat regular doing that session three times a week at me88’s Jade rate collects about S$90 a week, roughly S$4,680 a year, with no turnover and no wallet lock. At the 0.8% top of Maxim88’s live range, the same play returns S$240 a week. Quiet value most players never claim, quite sayang leh.
Durian tip: work out your own weekly turnover once (stake × bets × sessions) and keep the number. Multiply it by each casino’s rate and you’ll know within a minute which site pays you the most for the way you already play.
Rebate vs welcome bonus: the same S$2,400 two ways
Take BK8, because it offers both and prints its numbers. Deposit S$100 and claim the 100% welcome bonus: S$100 bonus, turnover 12x deposit + bonus = 12 × S$200 = S$2,400.
As a bonus. On a 96% RTP slot the house edge is 4%, so S$2,400 of spins costs about S$2,400 × 4% = S$96 on average. The bonus is worth S$100. Net result after the grind: roughly +S$4, plus the bigger balance to play with while you do it. Not bad, but you can’t withdraw until it’s done, the slot must be on the list, and the provider wallet is locked until you finish.
As a rebate. Skip the bonus and make the same S$2,400 of spins. BK8’s 0.7% rebate pays S$2,400 × 0.7% = S$16.80, claimable every hour, withdrawable immediately, and you were free to play live tables or fishing in between. The average cost of the spins is the same S$96 either way; the rebate trims it to S$79.20, shiok enough.
Another way to see it: a 0.7% rebate turns a 96% slot into a 96.7% slot for you, every day, forever. Our RTP and RNG guide shows how to find the real RTP on the info screen.
The bonus wins on paper for a slot player with 30 days to spare (S$100 of value against S$16.80). The rebate wins for everyone else: live players (the welcome counts slots only), anyone who withdraws often, and anyone who’ll keep playing after week one, because the bonus is a one-off and the rebate keeps coming. Many SG regulars do both in order: welcome first, rebates after. Our low-wagering shortlist ranks the welcomes by how fast they clear.
What pauses, excludes or shrinks a rebate
A rebate has no turnover, but it does have rules. These are the ones from our SG reviews:
- An active bonus pauses it. GemBet says GemRebates don’t accumulate while a bonus is active. GOD55 pauses its instant rebate while a bonus runs and won’t release the daily rebate until the turnover is done. The lesson: if you’re on a 30-day welcome, you’re not earning rebates for those 30 days at these two.
- Bonus bets never count. GemBet, GOD55 and the others only pay on real-money stakes. Promo money, free credit and free-spin winnings still in a bonus balance earn nothing.
- Excluded games. BK8 leaves out Mega888, 918Kiss, M9Bet, arcade and non-live table games. GOD55 leaves out 918Kiss, Mega888 and Pussy888. DK88’s daily rebate covers slots, TV games, bingo and sports only, so live casino doesn’t earn it there.
- Sports odds floors. DK88 counts singles at odds of 1.5 or more and parlays at 1.3 or more. Low-odds bets placed to farm turnover are the usual reason a sports rebate comes in smaller than expected.
- Claim windows. DK88: 12 hours after midnight. The hourly rebates at BK8, me88 and Maxim88 sit in your account until you claim them, but check how long before a big trip.
- Daily caps. DK88 caps the daily rebate by tier: S$18 at Dasher, S$58 at Silver, S$2,500 at Ruby. BK8, me88, Maxim88 and GemBet all print “no cap”.
- The 1x at AW8. Both the original AW8 rebate and AW8 Pro’s slot rebate need 1x turnover before withdrawal. Still light, but it’s not a pure cash rebate like the others.
What our reviews don’t say: whether BK8, me88 and Maxim88 pause the rebate while a welcome bonus is active. Treat it as not published and ask live chat before you claim a bonus, hor.
VIP tiers: how you climb and what the rebate becomes
Every rebate rate in this guide goes up with your VIP tier, and in Singapore the tier is almost always set by how much you deposit within one calendar month. The entry bars are high at most sites, so be realistic about which ladder you’ll actually climb:
| Casino | Entry tier and bar | Next tier | Tier kept for life? | Top rebate (slots) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GemBet | Start, by points | Pearl, Amethyst… up to Imperial Jade | Yes, and points never expire | 1.00% at Imperial Jade |
| me88 | Jade, first deposit | Rose Gold at S$30,000 a month | Jade and Rose Gold, yes; from Ruby, quarterly review | 0.9% at Royal (1.2% on live baccarat) |
| BK8 | Regular member | Bronze at S$30,000 a month | Bronze and Silver, yes; Gold up renews every 3 months | Up to 1% at Diamond |
| GOD55 | Normal, first deposit | Bronze at S$10,000 a month (plus KYC) | Normal and Bronze, yes; from Silver, 3-month review | 0.8% at Platinum |
| Maxim88 | Classic at S$30,000 over 5+ deposits | Silver at S$100,000 | Classic never expires; higher tiers reviewed quarterly | 1% VIP rebate |
| DK88 | Dasher, sign up | Iron at S$220; Bronze S$2,200; Silver S$7,300 | Recalculated between the 1st and 5th monthly | 1.5% at Ruby (invitation) |
| AW8 (original) | Normal | Bronze at 30,000 monthly deposit | Not published | 1.0% at Ruby |
Three practical reads of that table:
- DK88 is the casual ladder. S$220 of deposits in a month lifts the rebate from 0.2% to 0.3%; S$7,300 gets Silver at 0.5% plus a 5% weekly cashback. Nobody else in SG moves you for less than S$10,000.
- GemBet’s tiers are permanent. A quiet month never demotes you, so the rate you reach is the rate you keep.
- The invitation tiers are where the big rates live. me88’s 1.2%, DK88’s 1.5% and BK8’s 1% are Royal, Ruby and Diamond. Plan around the tier you’ll really hold, not the headline.
Tiers also raise the daily withdrawal cap, the birthday money and the weekly rescue cap. me88 even splits its cash-out limit by method (S$30,000 at Jade; S$120,000 bank and S$180,000 crypto at Royal). Our me88 vs Maxim88 comparison puts the two ladders side by side.
The SG rebate table: GemBet, me88, BK8 and Maxim88
The exact rates from our reviews, so you can compare like with like. “Up to” means the top of the published range; your tier sets where you sit.
| Casino | Slots | Live casino | Sports | Fishing | Turnover on the rebate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GemBet (Start to Pearl 3 → Imperial Jade) | 0.35% → 1.00% | 0.10% → 0.80% | 0.40% → 1.10% | Not published | None |
| me88 (Jade → Royal) | 0.4% → 0.9% | 0.30% → 1.20% (live baccarat) | 0.4% → 0.9% (football, badminton, basketball) | Covered, rate by game and tier | None |
| BK8 (regular → Diamond) | 0.7% → up to 1% | 0.3% (live baccarat) | 0.3% (soccer), 0.6% esports | 0.7% → up to 1% | None |
| Maxim88 | 0.5% to 1.0% | 0.3% to 0.8% (live baccarat and roulette) | Up to 1% at VIP (football, basketball, badminton) | Not published | None |
| GOD55 (Normal → Platinum) | 0.3% → 0.8% | 0.2% → 0.7% | 0.2% → 0.8% (esports 0.3% → 0.8%) | Not published | None |
| DK88 (Dasher → Ruby) | 0.2% → 1.5% (daily caps apply) | Not covered | Same rate as slots, odds floors apply | Not published | None |
| AW8 (Regular → Ruby) | 0.5% → 1.0% (AW8 Pro: 0.7%, rising to 4% after 30 million in valid bets) | 0.2% → 0.8% | 0.5% → 1.0% | Not published | 1x |
GemBet’s full ladder, for the record: Start and Pearl 1–3 at 0.35% slots, Amethyst 0.40%, Emerald 0.45%, Sapphire 0.50%, Ruby and Diamond 0.60%, Black Diamond 0.90%, Imperial Jade 1.00%. GemBet also refunds its 1% withdrawal fee through the daily rebate, so the 5 PM payout is worth checking even on days you didn’t play much.
Durian tip: AW8 Pro’s “4% slot rebate” banner is real but starts at 0.7%, and the 4% needs 30 million in valid bets. Read any “up to” rate as the top of a ladder you may never reach, and compare the entry rates instead.
How to claim your rebate without missing it
- Check the game is covered. Before a session, confirm the studio isn’t on the casino’s exclusion list (BK8: no Mega888, 918Kiss, M9Bet, arcade; GOD55: no 918Kiss, Mega888, Pussy888; DK88: no live casino).
- Play on cash, not on a bonus. If a welcome or reload is active at GemBet or GOD55, the rebate is paused. Finish the turnover first, or play without the bonus.
- Know your clock. Real time at GOD55, hourly at BK8, me88, Maxim88 and AW8, instant plus 5 PM SGT at GemBet, after midnight at DK88.
- Find the claim button. BK8: your profile. me88: Profile → Instant Rebate. Maxim88: the promo page. GemBet: the Rewards page. DK88: My Rewards, within 12 hours.
- Claim at the end of every session, even if it’s S$1.20. The minimum at BK8, me88 and Maxim88 is S$1, and small amounts left sitting are the ones that get forgotten.
- Withdraw or play it, your call. No turnover means a rebate can go straight to PayNow at GemBet, BK8, me88, GOD55 or Maxim88 (see our PayNow casinos); DK88 pays to bank, GrabPay or crypto.
- Review your tier at month-end. If you’re close to a bar (DK88 Iron at S$220, GOD55 Bronze at S$10,000), the last few days of the month are when a deposit changes next month’s rate.
Five minutes of habit, and the rebate becomes the most reliable promo you’ll ever have.
Where to collect rebates in Singapore
- GemBet: the clearest rebate ladder. GemRebates pay 0.35% on slots, 0.10% on live and 0.40% on sports from your first bet, rising to 1.00%, 0.80% and 1.10% at Imperial Jade, with no turnover, no cap and tiers you keep forever. The welcome is 288% up to S$2,880 on slots (25x deposit + bonus) from a S$30 PayNow deposit, and payouts land in about 10 minutes. Take the rebates or the bonus first, not both at once.
- me88: the highest live rate. An unlimited instant rebate of 0.2% to 1.2% by game and tier, hourly, from S$1, across sports, live casino, slots and fishing. Welcome: 288% up to S$2,880 (35x deposit + bonus), and the Mega & Kiss 120% up to S$300 if that’s your lobby. PayNow, cards and crypto.
- BK8: the best flat rate on day one. 0.7% on slots and fishing, 0.6% on esports and 0.3% on live baccarat and soccer, calculated hourly, no turnover, no cap. Its 100% up to S$300 at 12x deposit + bonus is also the lightest SG welcome, so you can take both in order. PayNow accepted, withdrawals processed within 25 minutes per BK8.
Maxim88’s hourly rebate (up to 1% on slots, 0.3% to 0.8% on live baccarat and roulette) is the pick for Evolution regulars, especially with its exclusive baccarat table. Live-table players should also read our live casino guide, and every current SG offer sits on the Singapore bonuses page.
A rebate makes play a little cheaper; it never makes it free. Set a weekly budget before the first spin and let the rebate be a bonus on top, not a reason to bet more.
