The digit games in a nutshell
- 6D and 4D have their own jackpots. 6D starts at ₱150,000, and its largest jackpot on record is ₱8,962,388. 4D starts at ₱10,000, with a largest jackpot of ₱155,894.
- 3D Swertres and 2D EZ2 are the quick ones: three draws every day, ₱10 a bet, and a prize of ₱4,500 (3D) or ₱4,000 (2D) per ₱10 winning bet. Both prizes are under ₱10,000, so they’re tax-free.
- The digit games didn’t get the February price increase. They’re still ₱10.
Many bettors mix both: a 6/58 ticket for the big dream, plus a 3D or 2D bet for something that draws three times a day.
Day-by-day: what’s drawn tonight?
If you only remember one thing, remember this table. 3D and 2D draw every day on top of these.
| Day | 6-number games | Digit games |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | 6/45, 6/55 | 4D |
| Tuesday | 6/42, 6/49, 6/58 | 6D |
| Wednesday | 6/45, 6/55 | 4D |
| Thursday | 6/42, 6/49 | 6D |
| Friday | 6/45, 6/58 | 4D |
| Saturday | 6/42, 6/55 | 6D |
| Sunday | 6/49, 6/58 | none |
Tuesday is the busiest night, with three jackpot games plus 6D. The two biggest pots, Ultra Lotto 6/58 and Grand Lotto 6/55, never draw on the same night, so there’s a major jackpot every night except Thursday. Full guides: Ultra Lotto 6/58 and Grand Lotto 6/55.
Draw times
- 3D Swertres and 2D EZ2: three draws a day, at 2pm, 5pm and 9pm, Monday to Sunday. 3D moved to these slots on 24 August 2020 (before that it was 11am, 4pm and 9pm).
- Ultra Lotto 6/58: 9pm.
- Other 6-number games, 6D and 4D: these are night draws too, but we couldn’t confirm each game’s exact time from an official source. Check PCSO’s live draw broadcast or pcso.gov.ph.
The Philippines doesn’t use daylight saving, so these times never move. If you also follow overseas lotteries, our lottery draw times in Asia page converts every big international draw to PHT.
Durian tip: Don’t wait until 8:45pm to buy your ticket. Outlets stop selling before the draw, and the lines get long when the 6/58 pot is in the hundreds of millions. Buy in the afternoon, then relax.
What changed on 1 February 2026
PCSO raised the price of its 6-number games and their minimum jackpots on 1 February 2026. The digit games didn’t change.
| Game | Ticket before → after | Minimum jackpot before → after |
|---|---|---|
| Lotto 6/42 | ₱20 → ₱25 | ₱6M → ₱10M |
| Mega Lotto 6/45 | ₱20 → ₱25 | ₱9M → ₱15M |
| Super Lotto 6/49 | ₱20 → ₱25 | ₱16M → ₱25M |
| Grand Lotto 6/55 | ₱20 → ₱25 | ₱30M → ₱45M |
| Ultra Lotto 6/58 | ₱20 → ₱25 | ₱49.5M → ₱75M |
| 6D, 4D, 3D, 2D | ₱10 (no change) | No change |
It’s not the first price change. A 6-number ticket was ₱10 from 1995 to 2013, ₱20 from 2013 to 2018, ₱24 from 2018 to 2020, back to ₱20 from 2020 and now ₱25.
One more change worth knowing: on Grand Lotto 6/55, the 5-number prize used to be a flat ₱100,000. It’s now a shared ₱1.4M pool, so on 21 September 2026, 19 winners got ₱73,684.21 each. Ultra Lotto 6/58’s 5-number prize is a shared ₱1.5M pool.
Worked example: what ₱250 buys now. Before February, ₱250 got you 12 tickets at ₱20 (with ₱10 change). Now it’s exactly 10 tickets at ₱25. On the digit games, the same ₱250 is still 25 bets at ₱10.
Jackpot odds for every 6-number game
The fewer numbers in the pool, the better your odds, and the smaller the minimum jackpot.
| Game | Jackpot odds per ticket | Minimum jackpot |
|---|---|---|
| Lotto 6/42 | 1 in 5,245,786 | ₱10M |
| Mega Lotto 6/45 | 1 in 8,145,060 | ₱15M |
| Super Lotto 6/49 | 1 in 13,983,816 | ₱25M |
| Grand Lotto 6/55 | 1 in 28,989,675 | ₱45M |
| Ultra Lotto 6/58 | 1 in 40,475,358 | ₱75M |
These are our own calculations from each game’s format. 6/42 is almost 8 times easier to win than 6/58, but its jackpot floor is ₱65M lower. Which one you play is a matter of taste: realistic dream or mega dream?
Which game fits your budget?
Worked example: you set aside ₱300 a week for lotto. At ₱25 a ticket, that’s 12 tickets.
| Plan | Jackpot chance for the week | Minimum jackpot |
|---|---|---|
| All 12 tickets on Ultra Lotto 6/58 | About 1 in 3.4 million | ₱75M |
| All 12 tickets on Lotto 6/42 | About 1 in 437,000 | ₱10M |
| 6 tickets on each | About 1 in 6.7 million on 6/58, plus about 1 in 874,000 on 6/42 | ₱75M and ₱10M |
The 6/42 plan is almost 8 times more likely to hit, but the 6/58 pot starts more than 7 times higher. Neither is a “smart investment”. Both are ₱300 of entertainment, so pick the one that’s more fun for you.
Tax on lotto winnings: the 20% rule
Under the TRAIN law, PCSO lotto winnings over ₱10,000 are subject to a 20% final tax. Prizes of ₱10,000 or less are tax-exempt.
Worked examples:
| Win | Tax | You take home |
|---|---|---|
| 3D Swertres, ₱4,500 | None (under ₱10,000) | ₱4,500 |
| 4D minimum jackpot, ₱10,000 | None (not over ₱10,000) | ₱10,000 |
| 6D minimum jackpot, ₱150,000 | ₱30,000 | ₱120,000 |
| 6/42 minimum jackpot, ₱10M | ₱2M | ₱8M |
| 6/58 pot of ₱345M (Philstar, 29 Sep 2026), won alone | ₱69M | ₱276M |
So when you see a big jackpot on the news, knock off 20% in your head. Still life-changing, of course.
How to buy PCSO lotto tickets officially
PCSO is a government agency, and it doesn’t sell lotto through casinos or affiliate sites. The official ways to play:
- Authorized PCSO lotto outlets. Choose your game and numbers, pay ₱25 per 6-number combination or ₱10 per digit-game bet, and keep the ticket safe, flat and dry.
- E-Lotto. PCSO began a test run of an online E-Lotto web platform on 15 December 2023. Check pcso.gov.ph for its current status and how to register.
- Results. Check the official PCSO results on pcso.gov.ph or its live draw broadcast.
Check your ticket before you walk away
- Is it the right game (6/55 vs 6/58 is an easy mix-up)?
- Is it the right draw date?
- Are the numbers exactly the ones you wanted?
- Write your name on the back, take a photo, and keep it somewhere flat and dry until the draw.
For bigger prizes, check pcso.gov.ph for where and by when to claim. And be careful online: lookalike websites that aren’t PCSO exist. Type pcso.gov.ph yourself instead of clicking links in ads, texts or group chats.
Bigger than PCSO: international draws and online number games
PCSO pots are big, but the US draws are bigger, and they’re drawn on Philippine mornings:
- Powerball draws Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10:59am PHT, moving to 11:59am from 3 November 2026 when the US clocks change. Its record jackpot is US$2.04 billion.
- Mega Millions draws Wednesday and Saturday at 11:00am PHT, moving to 12:00pm from 4 November.
The catch is the odds. Powerball’s jackpot is 1 in 292,201,338, about 7 times harder than Ultra Lotto 6/58. But its jackpot starts at US$20M with no cap, so when the pot runs past a billion dollars, a lot of Pinoys want a line or two on top of their usual 6/58.
PCSO doesn’t sell either. theLotter is a ticket messenger that buys official tickets on your behalf. It doesn’t say publicly whether it accepts players in the Philippines, so check at sign-up. Full details are in our Powerball Philippines guide and the Mega Millions page.
Want lotto-style games in pesos? BK8 has a Lottery tab with Youbetlotto’s games in the 6/42 to 6/58 formats, 2D, 3D, 4D and 6D, and quick draws every 1, 3 or 5 minutes (BK8’s provider games, not PCSO tickets), and its 100% welcome up to ₱5,000 at 12x deposit + bonus counts on them. BC.Game adds BC Lottery, international draws and a provably fair Keno, all in pesos.
Prefer a number game you can play any time? Winna is a crypto casino that officially lists the Philippines as a supported country. Its provably-fair Keno lets you verify every round, and you get instant rakeback from your first bet plus $10,000 daily and $50,000 weekly races. It’s crypto only, no GCash, so read our wagering guide to see how rakeback compares with a bonus.
How Pinoys pick their numbers
Birthdays, anniversaries, the plate number of the jeep that almost hit you, a dream about your lola: everyone has a “system”, and some people play the same numbers for years. That’s part of the fun. Just remember: every combination has the same chance in every draw, no number is ever “due”, and no online “lotto prediction” can tell you the next result. Our RTP and RNG guide explains how randomness works in games.
What you can control on the 6-number games is how many people you might share with. Lots of people play birthdays, so tickets made only of numbers 1 to 31 are more likely to split a jackpot. Adding higher numbers doesn’t improve your odds at all, but it may mean a bigger slice if you ever hit. On the digit games with fixed prizes, like 3D and 2D, sharing doesn’t matter.
21+ only. Set a budget for each draw, play for fun, and never chase losses. If it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page has help.
