Why USDT is the bridge for Pinoy players
Since 16 August 2025, when the gambling links inside GCash and Maya went dark under BSP Memorandum M-2025-029, no casino has had a one-tap wallet button. Your pesos still play; they just need a bridge. For most Pinoy players that bridge is USDT, a dollar-pegged stablecoin that moves in minutes and that all four casinos we review for the Philippines accept. Winna is crypto-only, Megapari lets you open the account in USDT, BC.Game and BK8 take it beside their peso cashiers.
The question this guide answers is the one before the casino: where do you get USDT with GCash or Maya money, safely? The answer in 2026 is “inside apps you already have”, because the Philippines has a short list of BSP-registered virtual asset service providers (VASPs) and three of them are consumer apps: GCrypto inside GCash (powered by PDAX), Maya, and Coins.ph. We cover those first, P2P second, with a comparison table at the end. One thing we won’t do is promise that any exchange “allows” gambling; they sell you USDT and let you send it to an external address, and what you do with it is your business and your responsibility.
Route 1: GCrypto inside GCash
GCrypto is the crypto section of the GCash app, run with PDAX, a BSP-licensed exchange. It’s the route most Pinoy players use because the pesos never leave the GCash ecosystem until they become USDT.
You need: a Fully Verified GCash account, a verified email, and to be 18 or older.
- Open GCash, tap GInvest → GCrypto, and set it up if it’s your first time.
- Top up your Trading Wallet from your GCash balance with the pesos you intend to play.
- Tap USDT and choose the Tron (TRC-20) version. GCrypto lists USDT on more than one network, and Tron is the one every casino we review accepts. The minimum order is 1 USDT.
- Buy. The app shows the live price and your total in pesos before you confirm.
- To move it, tap USDT → Send. Enter the amount, paste the destination address (from the casino’s deposit page, copied, never typed), and add a destination tag only if the receiver requires one (casino addresses don’t).
- Choose whether you’re sending to an Exchange wallet or a Wallet (non-exchange); a casino address is a wallet. For sends over ₱50,000 GCrypto asks for extra recipient details.
- Check every detail, tap Send, then enter the OTP that PDAX emails you and tap Submit Code.
GCash’s help centre puts the daily send limit at the peso value of ₱1,000,000 every 24 hours. The network fee is shown before you confirm, and finished transactions can’t be changed or refunded. Coming back is the reverse: USDT → Receive, copy your Tron address, withdraw from the casino to it, then Sell for pesos and tap Withdraw to your GCash wallet. Our brand pages show it end to end: Winna from GCash, Megapari from GCash.
Durian tip: Buy and send in one transaction per session. The Tron fee is charged per send, so five ₱600 sends cost five fees for the same ₱3,000. And send the Tron version, to a Tron address, from the Tron screen. Three times TRC-20, zero regrets.
Route 2: Maya crypto
Maya Philippines, Inc. is itself a BSP-registered VASP, so its crypto tab is a licensed route too. Maya says you can start from ₱50, lists USDT among its coins alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum and others, and since June 2023 has let users send crypto to and receive it from external wallets, including their own.
- Open Maya, go to the Crypto section and complete any extra verification it asks for.
- Buy USDT with your Maya balance; the app shows the price and total before you confirm.
- Open USDT and tap Send. Paste the casino’s deposit address.
- Check the network Maya shows for USDT and compare it with the network on the casino’s deposit page. If they match (TRC-20 to TRC-20), continue. If Maya only offers a network the casino doesn’t list, stop and use GCrypto or Coins.ph for that casino instead.
- Confirm, and wait for the blockchain confirmation on the casino side.
Maya publishes its fee and limit details in the app and its help centre rather than on one public page, so check there before a large transfer. Our Maya casinos page tracks which cashiers still list Maya for peso payments as well.
Route 3: Coins.ph
Coins.ph (Betur Inc.) is the oldest licensed route: a BSP VASP since 2017, with a wallet you cash into from a bank or e-wallet and cash out of to GCash.
- Cash in pesos to your Coins.ph wallet.
- Buy USDT from the Portfolio or trade screen.
- Go to Portfolio → Withdraw → Send Crypto, then Send to external wallet.
- Choose the network, enter the amount, and paste or scan the casino’s address.
- Review and confirm. Transfers between Coins.ph accounts are free; external transfer fees vary by network and congestion, and the app shows them before you confirm.
For TRC-20 USDT, Coins.ph’s help centre lists a 20 USDT minimum and a 1,000,000 USDT maximum per withdrawal. Like every exchange, it warns that a sent transaction is irreversible. Coming back, withdraw USDT from the casino to your Coins.ph TRC-20 address, sell, and cash the pesos out to GCash.
Route 4: P2P on Binance or OKX
P2P means buying USDT from another person, with the exchange acting as referee. You pick a seller, the platform locks the seller’s USDT in escrow, you pay the seller directly (GCash transfer is the common method), you mark the order as paid, and the seller releases the USDT into your exchange account. From there you withdraw it to the casino like any other exchange.
Two rules keep you safe, and they don’t bend:
- Never pay or chat off the platform. The escrow only protects payments made for the order, on the order. A seller asking you to “message on Telegram for a better rate” is leaving the referee behind on purpose.
- If you ever sell, never release before the money has landed in your own wallet, not in a screenshot. Fake receipts are the oldest P2P scam. Buyers face the mirror risk: a seller who claims non-receipt after you paid, which is why you pay only inside the order window and keep your proof.
Why it’s the second route for Pinoy players in 2026 is the regulatory picture. The SEC had Binance’s website blocked in March 2024 and ordered its apps removed from Google Play and the Apple App Store in April 2024; OKX, Bitget and MEXC apps were pulled from the Philippine App Store around the same time. In November 2025 a local partner, BlockShoals Technologies, received in-principle SEC approval, and on 14 April 2026 a notice to proceed with sandbox testing; website access was restored in mid-2026. As of this update, peso payment channels were still being connected and the BSP had said neither firm holds a VASP licence. So P2P with GCash is possible for people who already hold accounts, more steps, more counterparty risk, and a status that’s still changing. Licensed first.
The P2P scams you’ll actually meet, so you recognise them on sight:
- The fake receipt. A buyer sends a doctored GCash screenshot and asks the seller to release. Only the balance in your own wallet counts, never an image.
- The “mistaken transfer” reversal. A buyer pays, receives the USDT, then reports the GCash transfer as an error to claw it back. Sellers protect themselves by trading only with verified, high-completion counterparties; buyers avoid becoming suspects by paying only from an account in their own name.
- The third-party payment. Paying from a friend’s or relative’s wallet breaks most platforms’ rules and voids your appeal rights. Your name on the order, your name on the payment.
- The better rate off-platform. The moment a chat leaves the order page, the escrow no longer protects you. Decline, every time.
Fees and spreads: what to look at, not what to assume
Every route has the same two costs, and every app shows both before you confirm. We don’t print figures because they change daily; we tell you where to look.
- The spread. The app’s USDT buy price is a little above its sell price. The gap is the app’s margin. Compare the buy price against the sell price in the same app; that’s what a round trip costs you before you’ve bet a peso.
- The network fee. Charged on every Send to an external address, in the coin you’re sending. Tron (TRC-20) is typically the cheapest, Ethereum (ERC-20) the most expensive and variable. It’s a flat-ish amount per transfer, which is why batching matters.
- Cash-in and cash-out fees. GCrypto draws from your GCash balance; Coins.ph may charge on bank or wallet cash-outs; Maya shows any fee in the app. Read the confirmation screen.
The casino side adds little: BK8’s FAQ says it charges nothing on deposits or withdrawals, Winna charges the network fee only on withdrawals, BC.Game’s crypto withdrawals carry the network fee (VIP Club members pay none), Megapari doesn’t publish a figure. The full cashier table is in our USDT deposit guide.
How much to buy for a session
Buy what you’ve decided to play, nothing more, because every extra round trip costs a spread and a fee. A worked example, with the rate left to your app: for the arithmetic we use an illustrative ₱58 per USDT; the app shows the live figure, which moves.
| Step | Pesos | USDT (at ₱58, illustrative) | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session budget you set | ₱3,000 | ≈ 51.7 USDT | The number you decided before opening the app |
| Buy | ₱3,016 | 52 USDT | A little over, to cover the send fee |
| Send to the casino | — | 50 USDT | One send, TRC-20, after a small test the first time |
| Play (example outcome) | — | 50 → 62 USDT | Bet each deposit once first (Winna’s 1x rule) |
| Withdraw | — | 60 USDT | Above Winna’s $20 minimum, under its $10,000 daily cap |
| Sell in your app | ≈ ₱3,480 minus spread | 60 USDT | Pesos land in the Trading Wallet, then to GCash |
Two reminders. Winna’s minimum withdrawal is $20, so a session funded with 15 USDT can’t come back as crypto; size sessions above that. And at Megapari you withdraw to the same method you deposited with, so a USDT account stays a USDT account. For the welcome offers in peso terms, BK8’s ₱300 and Megapari’s ₱350 bonus minimums translate to roughly 5–6 USDT at that illustrative rate; check the cashier’s own minimum too.
Safety and tax, in one neutral paragraph
The licensed apps run KYC, hold your pesos and crypto under BSP rules, and show fees before you confirm; that’s the safety case for using them first. The BSP’s register of VASPs is short (nine active entities as of May 2026, with a moratorium on new licences), and it’s public, so a name on it is easy to verify. On tax: buying and holding USDT isn’t itself a taxable event, converting back to pesos at a gain may be, and the apps report as the law requires. This guide isn’t tax, legal or investment advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to hold crypto beyond what you’ve decided to play. If you trade in size, ask an accountant.
Routes compared
| Route | Licence status | Speed to USDT in your hand | Fee type | Limits you’ll meet | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GCrypto (GCash) | BSP VASP via PDAX | Minutes, inside the GCash app | Spread + Tron network fee per send | 1 USDT minimum order; extra details above ₱50,000; ₱1,000,000 daily send limit per GCash help | Most Pinoy players: pesos already in GCash |
| Maya crypto | BSP VASP (Maya Philippines, Inc.) | Minutes | Spread + network fee | From ₱50; check the USDT network offered | Maya-first users whose casino network matches |
| Coins.ph | BSP VASP since 2017 | Minutes once cashed in | Spread + network fee (varies by network) | 20 USDT minimum on TRC-20 withdrawals; 1,000,000 maximum | Players who want a standalone crypto wallet that cashes out to GCash |
| P2P (Binance, OKX) | Binance: SEC sandbox via BlockShoals since April 2026; peso channels pending; no BSP VASP licence | Minutes to an hour, depends on the seller | Seller’s price (often no explicit fee) + withdrawal fee | Platform and seller limits; app-store availability in PH still pending | Experienced users with existing accounts |
Next: deposit it
You’ve got USDT on Tron in GCrypto, Maya or Coins.ph. The next step is the casino’s cashier, which has its own guide: how to deposit USDT at an online casino, with the exact labels, networks and minimums for each brand. If you’re choosing the casino first:
- Winna is crypto-only, takes USDT on TRC-20, BEP-20, ERC-20 and Solana, has no welcome bonus and no bonus turnover, pays instant rakeback from the first bet and processes withdrawals instantly on its side from $20. The purest fit for a USDT bankroll.
- Megapari lets you open the account in USDT and still claim the ₱108,000 + 150 free spins casino package (35x the bonus), on top of UAAP and NCAA betting.
- BC.Game runs USDT on TRON beside a peso wallet, with 7,600+ slots and crypto payouts that are instant on its side.
The whole ranked list is on our crypto casinos page, and our crypto bonuses guide explains what rakeback and cashback are worth against a classic match bonus. One last check before you buy anything from a stranger: our scam-spotting guide.
