The jackpot right now
As of late September 2026, the 6/58 jackpot hadn’t been won since 12 June 2026, and Philstar reported on 29 September that the pot had hit ₱345 million. That’s a long rollover, and big pots like this always bring out the “isang taya lang” crowd.
For perspective, the all-time records:
| Record | Amount | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Biggest 6/58 jackpot | ₱1,180,622,508.00, split by two bettors | 14 Oct 2018 |
| Biggest single-bettor win | ₱571,554,916.40 | 29 Dec 2023 |
When someone hits, the jackpot resets to the ₱75 million minimum and starts climbing again.
Ultra Lotto odds, explained simply
There are 40,475,358 different ways to choose 6 numbers from 58, and one ticket covers one of them. So your jackpot chance is 1 in 40,475,358 per ticket. Grabe, ’di ba?
Worked example: you spend ₱500 on one draw. At ₱25 a ticket that’s 20 tickets, so your jackpot odds become 20 in 40,475,358, or about 1 in 2 million. Even with ₱500 every draw, three draws a week, you’d need on average over 12,900 years to hit the jackpot once.
The smaller prizes are more realistic:
| Match | Odds per ticket |
|---|---|
| 6 numbers | 1 in 40,475,358 |
| 5 numbers | 1 in 129,729 |
| 4 numbers | 1 in 2,035 |
| 3 numbers | 1 in 92 |
| Any prize | About 1 in 88 |
These are our own calculations from the 6/58 format. If you want slightly better odds for a smaller pot, Grand Lotto 6/55 is about 1.4 times easier to win; see our Grand Lotto 6/55 guide.
Prizes and the 20% tax
Only the jackpot rolls over. The 5-number and 4-number prizes come from fixed pools shared by all winners in that draw, so the amount per winner depends on how many people hit:
- 5 numbers: a ₱1.5M pool. On 29 September 2026 there were 4 winners, so ₱375,000 each.
- 4 numbers: a ₱1.4M pool. One draw had 659 winners at ₱2,124.43 each.
- 3 numbers: a fixed ₱100.
Then there’s tax. Under the TRAIN law, PCSO prizes over ₱10,000 are subject to a 20% final tax. Prizes of ₱10,000 or less are tax-free.
Worked example:
- You’re one of 4 winners on 5 numbers: ₱375,000 − 20% (₱75,000) = ₱300,000 take-home.
- You hit 4 numbers at ₱2,124.43: under ₱10,000, so you keep all of it.
- You hit a ₱345M jackpot alone: ₱345,000,000 − 20% (₱69,000,000) = ₱276,000,000. Swerte pa rin!
Durian tip: Write your name on the back of your ticket as soon as you buy it, and keep it flat and dry. A crumpled or wet ticket is the last thing you want when you’ve hit 5 numbers. Take a photo of it too, just in case.
What changed on 1 February 2026
PCSO raised prices and minimum jackpots across its 6-number games on 1 February 2026. For 6/58:
| Until 31 Jan 2026 | From 1 Feb 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
| Ticket | ₱20 | ₱25 |
| Minimum jackpot | ₱49.5M | ₱75M |
The 5- and 4-number prizes come from shared pools, so the amount changes every draw. (On Grand Lotto 6/55, the 5-number prize was a flat ₱100,000 per winner before February.) So if your tito says “5 numbers, sure ₱100k ’yan”, check PCSO’s actual result for that draw first.
How to buy Ultra Lotto tickets officially
PCSO runs the lotto, and it doesn’t sell through casinos or affiliates. The official ways:
- Authorized PCSO lotto outlets, the lotto booths you see in malls and on main roads. Pick your 6 numbers, pay ₱25 per combination, and keep your ticket safe.
- E-Lotto: PCSO started a test run of an online E-Lotto web platform on 15 December 2023. Check pcso.gov.ph for its current status before you use any online lotto site.
Lookalike domains exist that are not PCSO. Type pcso.gov.ph yourself instead of clicking links in ads or messages.
Playing lotto-style games online from the Philippines
While waiting for Tuesday, Friday or Sunday night, some Pinoys like a quicker number game:
- BK8 has a peso account and a Lottery tab with Youbetlotto’s lotto games in the familiar 6/42 to 6/58 formats, 2D, 3D, 4D and 6D, and quick draws every 1, 3 or 5 minutes. These are BK8’s provider games, not PCSO tickets. Its 100% welcome (up to ₱5,000 at 12x deposit + bonus) counts on lottery games too.
- BC.Game runs in pesos, with a Lottery tab (BC Lottery and international draws), a provably fair Keno and up to 500% across your first 4 deposits from ₱200.
- Winna is a crypto casino that officially lists the Philippines as a supported country. It has a provably-fair Keno original, where you can verify every round yourself, plus instant rakeback from your first bet and $10,000 daily and $50,000 weekly races. It’s crypto only, so no GCash or peso wallet.
- theLotter buys official tickets for international draws like US Powerball and Mega Millions, whose jackpots have passed US$1 billion several times. Its terms on its Mexico site even list PCSO 6/58 and 6/55 among its draws. It doesn’t publish whether it accepts players in the Philippines, so check at sign-up. Our Powerball Philippines guide shows the draw times in PHT.

How Pinoys pick their numbers
Birthdays, anniversaries, plate numbers, a dream about a dead relative, the numbers on your jeepney ride: everyone has a system. Have fun with it, but here’s the truth: every combination has exactly the same 1 in 40,475,358 chance. The machine doesn’t know your birthday, and no “hot numbers” list can predict the next bola.
One thing you can control is sharing. Many people play birthdays, so a ticket made only of numbers 1 to 31 is more likely to split the jackpot with others. Mixing in numbers from 32 to 58 doesn’t improve your odds, but it might mean a bigger share if you ever hit.
