In short: Singapore 4D is a fixed-odds numbers game: pick any 4-digit number from 0000 to 9999 and bet Big or Small, from S$1. Singapore Pools draws 23 winning numbers every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30pm SGT, and a S$1 Big bet on the 1st prize number pays S$2,000 (S$3,000 on Small).

  • ✓Draws are every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30pm SGT, the same clock time in Malaysia and the Philippines.
  • ✓Each draw produces 23 winning numbers: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 10 Starter and 10 Consolation prizes.
  • ✓Big wins on any of the 23 numbers. Small wins only on the top three, but pays more for them.
  • ✓1st prize pays S$2,000 per S$1 on Big and S$3,000 per S$1 on Small.
  • ✓Your number has a 1 in 10,000 chance of being 1st, and roughly 1 in 435 of landing anywhere on a Big bet.
  • ✓There's no jackpot: payouts are fixed per dollar staked, so you know your prize before the draw.

How Singapore 4D works

4D is the simplest numbers game Singapore Pools runs. You pick any four-digit number from 0000 to 9999, choose Big or Small (or both), and stake from S$1. Three times a week, Singapore Pools draws 23 winning numbers:

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize: one number each.
  • Starter prizes: 10 numbers.
  • Consolation prizes: 10 numbers.

Unlike TOTO, 4D has no jackpot and no prize pool. Payouts are fixed per dollar staked, so you know exactly what your number pays before the draw, however many other people back it.

With 23 winning numbers and three draws a week, 69 numbers win something every week. Any single number has 23 chances in 10,000 of being one of them at each draw. That’s why regular Big players see the odd Starter or Consolation hit, while 1st prize stays a 1 in 10,000 shot every time.

Big vs Small: which bet to place

The only real decision in 4D is Big or Small. Big gives you more ways to win; Small pays more for the top three.

Big bet Small bet
Winning numbers covered All 23 (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Starter, Consolation) Top 3 only (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
1st prize per S$1 S$2,000 S$3,000
Chance your number is 1st 1 in 10,000 1 in 10,000
Chance of any prize About 1 in 435 About 1 in 3,333
Best for Steady small hits Chasing the top prizes

The odds are our own maths: one number out of 10,000, with 23 prize numbers for Big and three for Small. Singapore Pools’ prize calculator confirms the S$2,000 and S$3,000 1st-prize rates. The full prize table, including what Big pays for 2nd, 3rd, Starter and Consolation, is on the official 4D page.

Worked example: S$10 on 1234

Say you put S$10 on 1234 for Wednesday’s draw.

  • All on Big, 1234 drawn 1st: S$10 × S$2,000 = S$20,000.
  • All on Small, 1234 drawn 1st: S$10 × S$3,000 = S$30,000.
  • S$5 Big + S$5 Small, 1234 drawn 1st: S$10,000 + S$15,000 = S$25,000.

Now say 1234 lands as a Starter number instead. The Big half still pays a Starter prize; the Small half pays nothing, because Small only counts the top three. That trade-off is the whole game: Small pays 50% more for 1st prize but misses 20 of the 23 winning numbers.

Permutation bets: covering every order of your digits

Many players back their number “in any order”. How many arrangements that takes depends on repeated digits:

Your number Pattern Arrangements Cost at S$1 Big each
1234 All different 24 S$24
1123 One pair 12 S$12
1122 Two pairs 6 S$6
1112 Three the same 4 S$4
1111 All the same 1 S$1

Buy all 24 arrangements of 1234 at S$1 Big each (S$24) and if any of them is drawn 1st, that line pays S$2,000. Your chance of some arrangement taking 1st rises to 24 in 10,000 (about 1 in 417), but so does your cost. Singapore Pools’ iBet does a similar job with one stake: it covers every arrangement and divides the prize by the number of arrangements. Neither option changes the house’s edge; you’re buying more numbers.

Singapore 4D draw times in SGT, MYT and PHT

Singapore 4D is drawn on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30pm SGT. Malaysia and the Philippines share UTC+8, so it’s 6:30pm in Kuala Lumpur and Manila too. The Malaysian 4D draws run the same days, half an hour later.

Draw Days SGT / MYT / PHT
Singapore 4D Wed, Sat, Sun 6:30pm
Singapore TOTO Mon, Thu 6:30pm
Da Ma Cai 1+3D (Malaysia) Wed, Sat, Sun 7:00pm
Magnum 4D (Malaysia) Wed, Sat, Sun Casino books close at 7:00pm

Da Ma Cai’s 7:00pm is its official draw time. For Magnum, the 7:00pm is the cut-off that Malaysian casino 4D books show, not an official draw time. See every draw on one clock in our lottery draw times in Asia guide.

How to play 4D online from Singapore

Singapore Pools is the licensed route. Players aged 21 and over can buy 4D at online.singaporepools.com or at any Singapore Pools outlet. The Malaysian operators don’t sell to you: Da Ma Cai’s online service, dmcGO, bars anyone in Singapore.

If you want 4D inside a casino lobby, UWIN33 is the brand we list for Singapore:

  • Its SGD site has a 4D Lottery tab in the main menu, and its 4D page carries Singapore 4D results and Big/Small payout tables next to the Malaysian draws.
  • New accounts get a SGD 10 free credit for verifying their phone, email and date of birth.
  • The slots welcome is 100% up to SGD 688 at 15x deposit + bonus.

Casino 4D books set their own payout tables and cut-off times, so check UWIN33’s table against the official one before you stake. Our UWIN33 review covers its payments and withdrawal limits in full.

Picking 4D numbers

People pick 4D numbers from birthdays, car plates, IC digits, dreams and “lucky number of the day” features. That’s part of the fun, but none of it changes the maths: every number from 0000 to 9999 has the same 1 in 10,000 chance at each draw. Our guide to RNG and randomness explains why past results can’t predict the next one.

Durian tip: Because 4D pays fixed odds, a popular number doesn’t pay less when lots of people back it. Bet the number you like, but size the stake so a miss doesn’t hurt: S$2–5 a number keeps a weekly 4D habit cheap.

4D is a game of chance, so only stake what you can afford to lose. Visit our responsible gambling page for help and limits.

FAQ

What time is the Singapore 4D draw?

Singapore 4D is drawn every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 6:30pm Singapore time. That's also 6:30pm in Malaysia and the Philippines, since all three use UTC+8.

How much does 4D 1st prize pay in Singapore?

A Big bet pays S$2,000 for every S$1 staked if your number is drawn 1st. A Small bet pays S$3,000 per S$1. So a S$10 Big bet on the 1st prize number wins S$20,000, and S$10 on Small wins S$30,000.

What is the difference between 4D Big and Small?

Big covers all 23 winning numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Starter and Consolation). Small covers only 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so it wins less often but pays more when it does. You can place both on the same number.

What are the odds of winning 4D?

Any single number has a 1 in 10,000 chance of being drawn 1st. With 23 winning numbers per draw, a Big bet has about a 1 in 435 chance of winning some prize. A Small bet, which only counts the top three, is about 1 in 3,333.

Can I buy 4D online in Singapore?

Yes. Singapore Pools sells 4D online through its own account service at online.singaporepools.com for players aged 21 and over. You can also buy at Singapore Pools outlets.

What is a 4D permutation bet?

It's a bet on every order of your four digits. 1234 has 24 arrangements, 1123 has 12, 1122 has 6 and 1112 has 4. You can buy each arrangement as its own bet, or use Singapore Pools' iBet, which spreads one stake across all of them and divides the prize to match.

Can 4D numbers be predicted?

No. Every draw is random and every number from 0000 to 9999 has the same chance. Charts of 'hot' numbers only describe past draws.
