What Grand Lotto 6/55 is
Grand Lotto 6/55 is the second-biggest lotto run by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). You pick six numbers from 1 to 55 for ₱25 a line. Match all six and you win the jackpot, which starts at ₱45 million and rolls over until someone hits it.
It sits between the smaller PCSO lottos and Ultra Lotto 6/58. Three fewer balls than Ultra Lotto makes it noticeably easier to win, though the jackpots are usually smaller.
The jackpot now, and the record
The Grand Lotto pot has been rolling over for a while. Philstar reported the pot heading for ₱214 million on 21 Sep 2026, and it stood at about ₱236.6 million on 30 Sep 2026. That’s more than five times the ₱45 million starting level.
The record is ₱741,176,323.20, won by a single bettor on 29 Nov 2010. That’s more than Ultra Lotto’s biggest single-bettor win (₱571.6 million in December 2023), even though Ultra Lotto holds the overall record.
Odds and prizes
The odds are pure counting: there are 28,989,675 ways to choose 6 numbers from 55. Our own combinatorics for one line:
- 6 numbers (jackpot): 1 in 28,989,675.
- 5 numbers: about 1 in 98,604.
- 4 numbers: about 1 in 1,643.
- 3 numbers: about 1 in 79.
Three numbers pays a fixed ₱60. Five and four numbers are shared pools: ₱1.4M for five and ₱1.3M for four, split equally between everyone who matches.
What changed on 1 Feb 2026
PCSO’s February 2026 changes hit Grand Lotto in three ways:
| Before 1 Feb 2026 | From 1 Feb 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
| Ticket price | ₱20 | ₱25 |
| Minimum jackpot | ₱30M | ₱45M |
| 5-number prize | ₱100,000 each | ₱1.4M pool, shared |
The shared pool can pay more or less than the old ₱100,000. With fewer than 14 five-number winners, each gets more than ₱100,000; with exactly 14 it’s the same; with 15 or more, each gets less. These figures come from Wikipedia (citing PCSO) and Philstar draw reports. PCSO’s own site was unreachable from our network, so confirm on pcso.gov.ph.
Worked example: the 21 Sep 2026 draw
Here’s what the pools paid on 21 Sep 2026:
- 5 numbers: 19 bettors shared ₱1.4M, so each won ₱73,684.21. After the 20% tax on prizes over ₱10,000, that’s about ₱58,947 each. Under the old rules they’d each have got ₱100,000, or ₱80,000 after tax.
- 4 numbers: 1,471 bettors shared ₱1.3M, so each won ₱883.75, paid in full.
- 3 numbers: a flat ₱60 per winning line.
And the jackpot: if a single ticket had hit the ₱236.6 million pot, the 20% tax would take about ₱47.3 million, leaving roughly ₱189.3 million.

PCSO’s 9:00pm slot is confirmed for Ultra Lotto, but we couldn’t confirm Grand Lotto’s time from PCSO’s own site, so check it there. For international draws on Philippine time (Powerball lands at 10:59am PHT on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays until the US clock change, then 11:59am), see our lottery draw times in Asia page and the Powerball guide.
How to buy Grand Lotto officially
There are two official ways to play:
- PCSO lotto outlets. Fill in a betting slip or ask for random numbers, pay ₱25 a line, and keep the ticket safe as your proof of purchase.
- PCSO’s E-Lotto platform. PCSO began a test run of an online E-Lotto service on 15 Dec 2023. We couldn’t confirm its current status because pcso.gov.ph was unreachable from our network, so check there first.
Avoid look-alike domains: pcso-elotto.com.ph is a parked page, not PCSO.
How to play online from the Philippines
For lottery play beyond the PCSO counter, these are the options we list for Philippine players:
- BK8 has a peso account and a Lottery tab with Youbetlotto’s lotto games in the 6/42 to 6/58 formats, 2D to 6D, and quick draws every 1, 3 or 5 minutes. They’re BK8’s provider games, not PCSO tickets. Its 100% welcome (up to ₱5,000 at 12x deposit + bonus) counts on lottery.
- BC.Game runs a peso balance with a Lottery tab (BC Lottery and international draws) and a provably fair Keno, plus up to 500% across your first 4 deposits from ₱200.
- theLotter is a ticket messenger that buys official tickets for you and scans them to your account. Its terms list PCSO Grand Lotto 6/55 and Ultra Lotto 6/58 among its draws, and it also sells the big US jackpots such as Powerball and Mega Millions. Check that your country is accepted when you sign up.
- Winna is a crypto casino with no lotto draws, but its provably fair Keno is the nearest instant number game: pick numbers, get the result in seconds. Instead of a welcome bonus it pays instant rakeback from your first bet and runs $10,000 daily and $50,000 weekly races.
Picking Grand Lotto numbers
Every combination of six numbers has the same 1 in 28,989,675 chance at every draw. Birthdays, lucky numbers and random picks all win at the same rate, and past results don’t change the next draw. Our RNG and randomness guide explains why. Since so many players use birthdays, numbers above 31 tend to be less crowded, which only matters if you win and have to share.
Durian tip: If you play both PCSO jackpots, Grand Lotto gives you better odds per peso. ₱25 on 6/55 is about 40% likelier to hit than ₱25 on 6/58, so it’s the smarter default when the two jackpots are close in size.
Lotto is entertainment with very long odds. Only play with money you can afford to lose, and see our responsible gambling page if you need help.
