Online Bingo in Asia: 75-Ball vs 90-Ball Explained & Where to Play (2026)

Online bingo for Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines: 75-ball vs 90-ball rules, cards, patterns and real odds, plus the casinos with bingo games right now.

In short: Online bingo comes in two classic formats: 75-ball, played on a 5×5 card where you chase lines and patterns, and 90-ball, played on a 15-number ticket with prizes for one line, two lines and a full house. Both are pure chance, and both are quick to learn. Players in Malaysia and Singapore can find bingo-style games at DK88, GOD55, MD88 and Maxim88, while in the Philippines BingoPlus and 789BINGO run PAGCOR-licensed e-bingo.

  • ✓75-ball bingo uses a 5×5 card (columns B-I-N-G-O) with 24 numbers and a free centre square. You win with a line, a pattern or a coverall.
  • ✓90-ball bingo uses a 3×9 ticket with 15 numbers. Each game pays for one line, two lines and a full house.
  • ✓A strip of 6 90-ball tickets holds every number from 1 to 90 exactly once, so every call marks a number.
  • ✓DK88 (Bingo lobby), GOD55 (JILI bingo titles), MD88 (Bingo Mania) and Maxim88 (Evolution Mega Ball) have bingo-style games for MY/SG players.
  • ✓In the Philippines, BingoPlus and 789BINGO are the PAGCOR-licensed e-bingo platforms.
  • ✓Every call is random. More cards raise your chance of winning only in proportion to what you spend.

What online bingo is, and how it differs from the lottery

Bingo is the friendliest numbers game there is. You hold one or more cards printed with numbers, balls are called one at a time, and you mark (or “daub”) every number on your card that comes up. The first player to complete the target, whether a line, a pattern or the whole card, shouts “bingo” and takes the prize.

It shares DNA with the lottery, but it plays very differently. A Powerball ticket is decided in one go, at 10:59am Singapore time on draw day. A bingo game unfolds call by call, and you can feel the tension build as your card fills up. Games are short, you can play many in a session, and online you never miss a number, because the software marks your cards for you.

Online, you’ll meet bingo in three shapes:

  • Instant bingo games in a casino’s slots or bingo lobby. You buy cards and the balls are drawn by a random number generator straight away, with no waiting for other players. JILI’s bingo titles work this way.
  • Live game shows, where a presenter draws the balls on camera. Evolution’s Mega Ball is the best known.
  • Room-based or livestreamed bingo, where many players chase the same prizes on a schedule. This is the British bingo-hall model, and it’s how the Philippines’ PAGCOR-licensed e-bingo platforms run.

Whichever shape you pick, the cards follow one of two classic formats.

75-ball bingo: the American 5×5 card

75-ball bingo is the version most people picture: a square card with the letters B-I-N-G-O across the top.

Column Numbers Numbers on your card
B 1–15 5
I 16–30 5
N 31–45 4 + the free space
G 46–60 5
O 61–75 5

The centre square is a free space, already marked before the first call, so each card carries 24 numbers. Callers announce the letter with the number (“B-7”, “O-68”), which makes it quick to find on your card.

Ways to win:

  • A line: any complete row, column or diagonal. Lines through the centre need just 4 numbers, thanks to the free space.
  • A pattern: the operator announces a shape before the game, such as four corners, a postage stamp (a 2×2 block in a corner), or letters and symbols.
  • A coverall (blackout): every one of your 24 numbers, usually for the biggest prize.

Because the operator chooses the pattern, 75-ball games vary a lot in length and prize size. Always check what you’re chasing before the first call.

90-ball bingo: the British 15-number ticket

90-ball bingo is the format of British bingo halls, and it uses a wide ticket instead of a square card:

  • 3 rows × 9 columns, with 5 numbers in each row, so 15 numbers per ticket. The other squares are blank.
  • Each column covers a band of numbers: the first column holds 1–9 (or 1–10), the next one the 10s, and so on up to the last column with 80–90 (or 81–90).
  • Tickets come in strips of 6, arranged so that every number from 1 to 90 appears exactly once across the strip.

Every game pays three prizes in turn:

  1. One line: the first player to complete any single row.
  2. Two lines: the first to complete any two rows on the same ticket.
  3. Full house: the first to mark all 15 numbers, the top prize.

The game carries on after each win, so you can still take the two-lines prize or the full house even if someone else claimed the first line.

75-ball vs 90-ball at a glance

75-ball 90-ball
Origin United States United Kingdom
Card 5×5 grid, 24 numbers + free centre 3×9 ticket, 15 numbers
Number range 1–75 1–90
Ways to win Line, set pattern or coverall One line, two lines, full house
Prizes per game Set by the pattern Three, in order
Best for Players who like variety and patterns Players who like three chances per game

Neither format has better odds in itself. Your chance depends on how many cards are in play, and prize amounts are set by each operator or room.

The maths behind a bingo card: a worked example

Bingo is easy to reason about once you put numbers on it:

  • Hits per call. A 75-ball card holds 24 of the 75 numbers, so on the first call there’s a 32% chance (24 ÷ 75) it lands on your card. A single 90-ball ticket holds 15 of 90 numbers, a 1-in-6 chance. Buy a full strip of six 90-ball tickets and every single call marks one of your numbers.
  • How long a full card takes. On one card, covering all 24 numbers in 75-ball takes about 73 calls on average, and a 90-ball full house on one ticket takes about 85 calls (the expected position of the last of your numbers: 24 × 76 ÷ 25, and 15 × 91 ÷ 16). In a busy room, someone else’s card usually gets there far sooner, which is why most players never see their own coverall.
  • Your share of the room. If 100 cards are in play and you hold 1, you have about a 1% chance of being first to a given prize. Hold 5 and it’s about 5%, but you’ve also paid five times as much. Ties on the same call are normally split.

Durian tip: Extra cards make bingo more fun to watch, not better value. Five cards win five times as often as one, but they cost five times as much. Pick a number of cards that fits your session budget.

Keno: bingo’s faster cousin

If you like bingo’s numbers but want quicker rounds, try keno: you pick your own numbers, the game draws a set of balls, and you’re paid by how many of yours come up. GOD55 carries JILI keno titles (Keno Bonus Number, Keno Extra Bet, Keno Super Chance) plus Spribe Keno in its fast games, and crypto casino Winna has a provably-fair Keno among its originals for players in the Philippines and worldwide.

Bingo in the Philippines: BingoPlus and e-bingo

The Philippines has its own big bingo scene. BingoPlus, launched in January 2022 by DigiPlus (the company behind the Bingo Bonanza mall halls, licensed for bingo since 1995), runs under a PAGCOR Online Traditional Bingo licence. It livestreams bingo alongside tong-its and perya games, starts from ₱1, and is for over-21s only. Its largest jackpot was ₱151 million on 25 November 2024. 789BINGO is also on PAGCOR’s list.

If you’re in the Philippines, those licensed platforms are the local way to play bingo. Among the casinos we review, BC.Game carries JILI’s iRich Bingo, Fortune Bingo and Super Bingo plus its own Bingo, with a peso balance, and BK8 has JILI bingo next to its lottery tab. For keno-style games with crypto, Winna accepts Philippine players.

Smart habits for online bingo

  • Know your format and pattern before the first call, especially in 75-ball, where the pattern changes from game to game.
  • Check the game info screen in instant bingo titles. RNG games publish their rules and return to player there; our RTP and RNG guide explains what those numbers mean.
  • Fewer players means a better chance per card, but in pooled rooms it usually means a smaller prize too.
  • Set a session budget and a number of games, and stop when you reach either.

FAQ

What is the difference between 75-ball and 90-ball bingo?

75-ball is the American format: a 5×5 card with 24 numbers and a free centre square, won by completing a line, a set pattern or the whole card. 90-ball is the British format: a ticket of 3 rows and 9 columns holding 15 numbers, with prizes for one line, two lines and a full house.

How many numbers are on a 90-ball bingo ticket?

15: five in each of the three rows. Tickets are sold in strips of six, and a full strip covers every number from 1 to 90 exactly once.

What patterns win in 75-ball bingo?

A straight line across, down or diagonally is the classic win. Many games use set patterns instead, such as four corners, a postage stamp (a 2×2 block in a corner) or a coverall, where you must mark all 24 numbers. The operator announces the pattern before the game.

Where can I play bingo online in Malaysia?

Among the casinos we review, DK88 has a Bingo category in its lobby, GOD55 carries JILI bingo titles such as Candyland Bingo and Bingo Adventure, MD88 has JILI's Bingo Mania on mobile, and Maxim88 features Evolution's Mega Ball live game show.

What is BingoPlus?

BingoPlus is the online bingo platform run by DigiPlus (AB Leisure Exponent) in the Philippines. It launched in January 2022 under a PAGCOR Online Traditional Bingo licence, streams live bingo along with tong-its and perya games, is open to over-21s and starts from ₱1. Its largest jackpot was ₱151M on 25 Nov 2024.

Is online bingo random?

Yes. Every ball is drawn at random, whether by a physical machine on a livestream or a random number generator in an instant game. No card is luckier than another, and buying more cards only raises your chances in proportion to what you spend.

What is Mega Ball?

Mega Ball is Evolution's live game show that mixes bingo and lottery: balls are drawn live by a host while players follow their cards. Among our reviewed casinos, Maxim88 features it for Malaysian and Singaporean players.
